Clinic Owner & Lead Physiotherapist
Samantha Bonnici is the owner of the clinic and a registered physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience in Malta and the UK. She holds an MSc in Sports Medicine, with her research focusing on the treatment of Achilles tendinopathies.
Samantha spent a decade in the UK working in private practice on Harley Street and Sloane Square, specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and treating a wide range of conditions. She has provided physiotherapy for world-renowned dance companies, including the Matthew Bourne Dance Company (Swan Lake tour) and the cast of the film Streetdance.
Her sports physiotherapy work has taken her from the Scarlets Rugby Team in Wales and the London Marathon to the Malta Olympic Committee, the Malta National Female Basketball Team, and Maltese athletes at the GSSE Games in Malta and Andorra. She was also part of the medical team at the London 2012 Olympics and continues to work closely with local athletes, musicians and dancers.
A qualified Pilates instructor, Samantha helps patients return to pain-free movement through tailored Pilates programmes and targeted rehabilitation. Her Pilates classes are quite popular, and she is keen on getting people of all ages moving their bodies and staying fit. She also incorporates acupuncture and trigger point dry needling into her hands-on treatment, alongside personalised exercise plans.
Her special interests include tendon pain, headaches, jaw pain (TMJ), and complex physiotherapy cases. Committed to continuous learning, she has recently completed advanced courses in chronic pain management (Dr Adrian Louw), shoulder pain (Jo Gibson), hip pain (Dr Alison Grimaldi), and complex tendon rehabilitation (Dr Peter Malliaras).
